Build An Abundance Mindset, Without the “Woo”.

When we talk about the antidotes to scarcity mindset, it can admittedly feel a little ‘woo’.

Visualization and affirmations aren’t for everyone, I get it.

So instead, how about four crystal-clear 5 minute ways to bolster your abundance mindset?

1) Practice genuine admiration. Call or text someone you deeply care about to tell them you are proud of something they accomplished. Bonus points if you can point to an intrinsic quality that you saw them using to get it done.

2) Great week log. Create a recurring reminder to add one great thing from the past week to a doc, spreadsheet, or notes app. Bonus points if you do it with your family or an accountability partner. Taking a minute to reflect on the good parts of life with another human definitely shifts your mindset.

3) Positive consequences. It’s easy to fall into the trap of imagining negative consequences when we dream up something new. Catch yourself thinking about a potential bad outcome and ask ‘What is the best thing that can happen?’.

4) Get creative. If you write, journal. If you paint, grab the easel. Choose your creative pursuit and use prompt: what would it be like if I got everything I wanted in 2 years? Let your mind wander and use your right brain to create an image of the future.
